  1. TechPhonetic is an IPA (phonetic symbol) font for the Macintosh.  The
  2. package includes a fontographer file, type-1 postscript file,
  3. fontographer-generated bitmaps, and an AFM file. TechPhonetic also
  4. includes some non-standard symbols we use at MIT.

  6. TechPhonetic is designed to represent anything the IPA can, but not
  7. necessarily in all the ways IPA can.  Some instructions are required
  8. to make the best use of this font, but said instructions are unavailable
  9. at this time.

  11. TechPhonetic is based on GoudyOldstyle, available from Altsys.

  13. TechPhonetic is free and I encourage its distribution, but is not public
  14. domain and may not be sold.  Enjoy!
